Who This Course Is For:

The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course equips healthcare providers with the skills to manage and respond to severe cardiovascular emergencies in adults. Participants will learn advanced interventions for cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, and stroke.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Programs
Florida CNA Certification
Governing Body: Florida Board of Nursing (Department of Health)
Key Requirements:
Minimum age: 18 years (or high school diploma/GED in some cases)
Complete a state-approved training program: Minimum 120 hours (classroom and clinical)
Pass the Prometric CNA Exam: Written/oral (60 questions) and skills evaluation (5 selected skills)
Level 2 background screening via Livescan fingerprinting
Testing: All exam preparation and skills testing conducted on-site at Vitashield Academy locations for your convenience
Renewal: 24 hours of in-service training every 2 years

Ohio CNA / State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA)
Governing Body: Ohio Department of Health (Nurse Aide Registry)
Key Requirements:
Minimum age: 16 years
Complete an approved NATCEP program: Minimum 75 hours (59 classroom/lab + 16 supervised clinical)
Pass competency exam (written/oral + skills) via approved provider
BCI and FBI background checks
Testing: Comprehensive exam preparation and skills testing performed on-site at Vitashield Academy locations
Renewal: Verify at least 8 hours of paid nursing-related work every 24 months (no CE hours required)

Key Requirements:
Minimum 40 hours training + competency evaluation (or 75 hours for Medicare/Medicaid agencies)

Annual in-service training (12 hours for Medicare/Medicaid) and CPR certification
Testing: Competency evaluations and skills testing completed on-site at Vitashield Academy
