Career and Achievements:
Lakeevius’s military career imbued him with discipline and expertise in crisis management, skills he now applies to the Academy’s objectives as an American Heart Association Training Site. His experience in emergency response shapes the Academy's focus on creating safer, more resilient communities.
In 2018, Lakeevius received a kidney transplant and continues to face the challenges of end-stage renal disease (ESRD). His perseverance in the face of terminal illness embodies Vitashield Academy’s motto: VITA INVICTA – Life Unconquered. His journey is a powerful testament to strength and determination.
Foundation and Family:
Vitashield Academy was co-founded with Renatta Griffith-Hambrick on the principles of family and compassion. Lakeevius instilled a culture of strength and community-first values that resonate through the organization.
His leadership is further enriched by a strong family foundation and a dedicated team that prioritizes resilience, service, and empowerment. Together, they uphold the Academy’s commitment to excellence and community service.

Renatta Griffith-Hambrick stands as a beacon of resilience and dedication through her multi-faceted career devoted to family, community, and country. As the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of VitaShield Academy’s Ohio Branch, Renatta is instrumental in driving the Academy's mission, emphasizing the pillars of family and community resilience.
Career and Achievements:
Renatta's illustrious career began with her honorable service in the United States military. Here, she honed the attributes of discipline, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence that she continues to embody in her roles today.
After her military service, Renatta transitioned to law enforcement in Ohio, focusing her efforts in the Akron area. Her tenure in law enforcement was marked by a steadfast dedication to justice and community trust, providing invaluable protection and service to the residents.
Currently, Renatta contributes her expertise to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), supporting medical staff and advocating for veterans as they navigate healthcare and recovery processes. Her ongoing commitment to veterans exemplifies her broader dedication to service and community support.
